Privacy Policy

Look, we get it - nobody really wants to read through pages of legal jargon. We've tried to make this as straightforward as possible because your trust matters to us.

Introduction

Welcome to Kryndor Valorium. We're a boutique marketing agency based in Toronto, and we take your privacy seriously - not just because Canadian law (PIPEDA) says we have to, but because it's the right thing to do.

This policy explains what info we collect when you visit our site, work with us, or just shoot us an email. We've kept the legalese to a minimum, promise.

By using our website or services, you're agreeing to the terms outlined here. If something doesn't sit right with you, let's talk about it.

What Information We Collect

When you reach out or work with us, we might collect:

  • Your name and company details
  • Email address and phone number
  • Business address and industry info
  • Project requirements and preferences
  • Payment and billing information

We only ask for what we actually need. If we're requesting something that seems random, there's probably a good reason - and we'll explain it.

Like pretty much every website out there, we automatically gather some technical stuff:

  • IP address and browser type
  • Device information and operating system
  • Pages you visit and how long you hang around
  • Referring websites and search terms
  • General location data (city/region level, not creepy specific)

This helps us understand how people use our site and where we can improve things. No judgement if you spent 20 minutes on our portfolio page - we worked hard on that.

Sometimes we might get info about you from:

  • Business partners or referral sources
  • Publicly available business directories
  • Social media platforms (only what's public)
  • Analytics providers and marketing platforms

We're not stalking you, we promise. This is standard business research to better understand potential clients and market trends.

How We Use Your Information

We're not collecting data just to hoard it. Here's what we actually do with it:

Service Delivery

To actually do the work you're hiring us for - strategy sessions, campaigns, website builds, all that good stuff.

Communication

Responding to your inquiries, sending project updates, and occasionally sharing insights we think you'll find valuable.

Improvement

Making our website better, understanding what content resonates, and refining our services based on real feedback.

Legal Compliance

Meeting our legal obligations, protecting our rights, and keeping everything above board with contracts and billing.

Worth noting: We'll never sell your personal info to random third parties. That's not our business model, and frankly, it's kind of gross.

When We Share Your Data

We're pretty protective of your info, but there are a few situations where we might share it:

  • Service Providers: Companies that help us run our business - hosting providers, email platforms, analytics tools. They're contractually obligated to keep your data safe.
  • Business Partners: If we're collaborating with other agencies or specialists on your project, we'll share relevant info (with your knowledge, of course).
  • Legal Requirements: If the law says we gotta hand over information, we will. But we'll push back on overly broad requests.
  • Business Transfers: In the unlikely event we sell the business or merge with another company, your data would transfer to the new owners.
  • With Your Consent: Any other sharing happens only if you've given us explicit permission.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Yeah, we use cookies - but not the delicious kind. Here's what's happening behind the scenes:

Cookie Type What It Does Can You Opt Out?
Essential Makes the site actually work properly - sessions, security, basic functionality Not really, sorry
Analytics Tells us which pages get visited, where visitors come from, what's working Yep, through browser settings
Functional Remembers your preferences so you don't have to set things up each time Sure, but you'll lose convenience
Marketing Helps us show relevant ads if you're bouncing around the web Absolutely

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, though this might break some website features. We also use Google Analytics, which you can opt out of via their browser add-on.

How We Protect Your Information

We take security seriously, even if we're not a bank. Here's what we're doing:

Encryption

SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit, encrypted storage for sensitive stuff

Access Control

Only team members who need access get it, with strong passwords and 2FA

Regular Updates

We keep our systems patched, software updated, and stay on top of security best practices

Real talk: No system is 100% hack-proof. We do our best, but if something does happen, we'll let you know promptly and help sort it out.

Your Privacy Rights

Under Canadian privacy law (and just basic human decency), you've got rights. Here's what you can do:

Access Your Data: Request a copy of what we have on you. We'll get it to you in a reasonable format.
Correct Mistakes: Found something wrong? Let us know and we'll fix it ASAP.
Delete Your Info: Want us to wipe your data? We'll do it, unless we're legally required to keep it.
Opt Out of Marketing: Unsubscribe links are in every email. Click 'em if you're not feeling it anymore.
Object to Processing: If you're uncomfortable with how we're using your data, speak up.
File a Complaint: If you think we've messed up, contact the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. We'd prefer you talk to us first though.

To exercise any of these rights, just email us at hello@kryndorvalorium.info or call (647) 555-8294. We'll respond within 30 days, usually much faster.

How Long We Keep Your Data

We don't hang onto your information forever. Here's our general approach:

  • Client Project Data: Kept for the duration of our relationship plus 7 years (tax and legal requirements, mainly)
  • Inquiry Information: If you reached out but didn't become a client, we'll keep it for about 2 years then delete it
  • Marketing Data: As long as you're subscribed, or until you opt out
  • Website Analytics: Typically retained for 26 months, then aggregated or deleted
  • Financial Records: Seven years minimum (thanks, CRA)

If you want us to delete your data sooner, just ask. We'll accommodate unless there's a legal reason we can't.

Third-Party Links & Services

Our website might link to other sites or use third-party tools (social media, analytics platforms, etc.). Once you click away from kryndorvalorium.info, their privacy policies take over.

We try to work with reputable companies, but we can't control what they do with your data. Read their privacy policies if you're curious - we know, it's a lot of reading, but knowledge is power and all that.

Some third-party services we commonly use include Google Analytics, various social media platforms, email marketing tools, and cloud storage providers. They all have their own privacy policies worth checking out.

Changes to This Policy

Privacy laws evolve, our business grows, and sometimes we need to update this policy. When we do:

  • We'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
  • For minor tweaks, we'll just post the new version here
  • For major changes that affect how we use your data, we'll send you an email heads-up
  • We'll never reduce your rights under this policy without getting your consent first

It's worth checking back here occasionally, especially if privacy is something you're passionate about. We date every version so you'll know if something's changed.
